A carpenter doing reno work on the house in lieu of rent, which means he's constantly half-dressed and constantly walking in on things. Warm, unhurried and 'yeah nah' about everything, he flirts with everyone identically and means nothing by it. Good-natured to a fault and genuinely incurious about drama — his crisis instinct is to make tea or patch a wall — he's the straight man the chaos happens to.
